2. Executive Session To conduct strategy around contract negotiations with nonunion personnel - Interim Assistant Superintendent contract, and strategy with respect to collective bargaining - Unit A and Unit E.

3. Open Session The order of agenda items is subject to change

4. (20 Min.) Interim Superintendent’s Report - Interim Superintendent Folan will present District

   progress, highlights, and accolades, including a visit by the GMS Math Team.

5. New Business

   1. (10 Min.) Student Member Introductions: Interim Superintendent Folan and Principal Sperling will introduce the 2021-2022 School Committee Student Representatives.

   2. (5 Min.) Interim Assistant Superintendent Contract VOTE: Interim Superintendent Folan will present the Interim Assistant Superintendent contract for a vote of approval.

   3. (30 Min.) Presentation of Interim Superintendent Goals and Entry Plan VOTE: Interim Superintendent Folan will present his goals and entry plan.

   4. (5 Min.)School Committee Member Update: Chair Merenda will provide an update on the School Committee vacancy.

   5. (20 Min.) Policy Review: Interim Superintendent Folan, Chair Merenda, and Ms. Kendall O’Halloran will present the following policies for a 1st read and a possible vote of approval.

G. (15 Min.) Director of Finance and Operations Report Mr. Stephen Marshall will report on the current enrollment status, donations, District Fees (VOTE), and other business matters.

8. (10 Min.) Teaching and Learning Ms. Deborah Rooney will report on assessment information, including MCAS dates and plans for benchmark assessments.

9. (5 Min.) Consent Agenda The consent agenda is designed to expedite the handling of routine and miscellaneous business of the District. The School Committee may adopt the entire Consent Agenda with one motion. At the request of any committee member, any item(s) may be removed from the Consent Agenda and placed on the Regular Agenda for discussion. Note: per Robert’s Rules of Order: A member’s absence from the meeting for which minutes are being approved does not prevent the member from participating in their correction or approval.

Sub-Committee and Other Posts Updates In addition to the core role of governing our schools, the Canton School Committee creates, participates in and/or designates representatives to help manage issues of particular importance to the school district or town. They are listed below for reference in order to prompt priority updates from or questions of representatives as relevant.
